The most important part of wearing a kimono beautifully is correction.
By correcting the unevenness of the body and creating a barrel-like shape, the kimono worn over it will be less likely to wrinkle and less likely to fall apart, resulting in a sophisticated kimono dressing.
â- Let's proceed to the dressing lesson after mastering how to correct the body and put on the lintel (kimono undergarment).
You will also practice how to put on tabi (socks).

No precautions

Please prepare your own materials and tools.

Note: You do not need to purchase a kimono bra; an unpadded camisole you have on hand (or you can remove the pads) will work just fine. Please prepare a simple bra without any ribbing.

Cotton should be large enough to cover the entire chest, so please prepare a large size cotton bra.

Tabi socks without kohaze (metal fittings for hooking) (stretchy nylon socks) may be easier to wear at first.

There are two types of lintel (underwear for kimono): a one-piece type that can be worn alone like a one-piece dress, and a two-piece type that is divided into upper and lower sections. We recommend the one-piece type as it is easier to wear at first.

If you are not sure which one to buy or if you can use something you already have, please feel free to contact us by clicking the "Ask an Instructor" button.
